SECTION 2 - Squarespace & Stripe  

Our store is hosted on Squarespace Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Squarespace's data storage, databases and the general Squarespace application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Stripe stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers. In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. There is a sign -up box to subscribe to our monthly newsletter and emails on the home page of Our Story Time and from time to time, you will find a sign-up box at the bottom of blog posts on the Our Story Time blog. We ask for your first and last names and your email address and this information is stored on Mail Chimp, a marketing platform for small businesses. You can read Mail Chimp's privacy policy here. When you shop with us, you are not automatically signed up to our newsletter - you have the right to not sign up. You also have a double opt-in to ensure you really do want to hear from us. You will not receive any emails from us unless you approve via the double-opt in. You also have the right to be forgotten, so if at any point you decide you no longer want to receive our newsletter and emails about product launches, discount codes or sales, then you have the right to be forgotten, so please contact us at if you would like your data to be destroyed. 


When you make a purchase through Our Story Time, your postal address is stored within Squarespace (see Section 2). From time to time, as part of keeping in touch with you, we might like to send a surprise in the post to you to celebrate a seasonal launch or simply to say thank you for shopping with us.
